THE 1969 CHARGER

Demand surpassed supply as “Dodge Fever” swept the land. The 1969 Charger was sweeping up the floor with the competition too; every record from sales to wins would be broken before years end. Design changes to the grille, tail lights, side markers and interior separated it from the 1968. Dodge offered 4 body styles in 69. XP29 Hardtop, XS29 RT, XX29 500, and XX29 Daytona. The RT package gave the owner a beefed up suspension, heavy duty brakes, grille and tail light panel RT emblems. The customer could choose RT badges on the flanks or a bumble bee stripe on the tail. Two engine options were offered for the RT 440-4bbl 375hp or 426-8bbl 425hp. The 500 package gave the owner the flush mounted grille and concave rear window. The Daytona package consisted of>>>>>>>> well if I have to tell you this you must not be Dodge material or an imposter Dodge boy! Probably a Chebie closet man!! But I digress. The Charger message for 1969 “NO FEAR HERE”.
